Film Junk Poll: What is the Best Tim Burton Movie?

With the first trailer for Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland getting mixed reactions from people around the web this week, it seemed like a good time to go back and look over the man’s filmography and discuss the highlights and lowlights. Some people think he’s a brilliant filmmaker, while others say he is overrated and has been repeating himself for years, but I think we can all agree he has still done some pretty memorable flicks. My question is, which one is the best? Cast your vote in this week’s poll and then try to justify that choice in the comments below!

I’m not really a fan of Burton and I thought his Batman films were just awful, but I would have to say “Beetlejuice” is my favorite of his.

Posted by Joel on July 24th, 2009I’d go with Batman for sure. I’m in the minority but I really like Big Fish as well.
Posted by Andrew James on July 24th, 2009I really dont like any of the movies other than Ed Wood. I really like that one. =)

I at least like all this films listed and love half of them. Almost chose Batman without thinking, but Keaton’s performance in Beetlejuice owns pretty much anything he’s done in his entire career.
I actually saw it the other day and Beetlejuice doesn’t feel dated. There is a timeless quality to the film.
Posted by Pr1mal on July 24th, 2009I liked Ed Wood a lot, but because it hasn’t seemed to be as well received, I voted for Edward Scissorhands.

Well I went with Ed Wood my favorite though it’s certainly not the most indicative of this style.
