WOW am I the only one who thinks SNL movies all totally suck? The only good ones were Blues Brothers and Wayne’s World. And it’s Pat had Ween in it but that’s all it had.

I have a problem with this movie. I guess maybe with the concept. Today’s movie watchers hate “stupid comedies” ( i.e. Year One Ace Ventura), this was different ten even five years back. I guess here comes my problem, the make these “cheesy, stupid,comedies” and the fan base of the character or actor doesn’t even see the movie! I almost think they should go the route of a “well written,smart comedy” ( i.e. the hangover, Knocked Up) where the comedy isn’t so obvious, but the character actually has some heart and charisma. Rather than being thrown on the screen for an hour and a half like an extended tv show!!!

I think it’s a great idea. I miss the old SNL spinoff movies i.e. Superstar, Pat, Ladies Man, Night at the Roxbury, etc. MacGruber is probably the most entertaining SNL skit in the past few SNL seasons and I think it can transition into a pretty funny feature length. Lookin forward to this one

I don’t know how you can mess up a MacGruber movie. This concept has a bow on it. It’ll be interesting to see how they move the story out of the “control room.”
