This Week on DVD: Knowing, Push, Nursery University

Say what you will, but the biggest DVD release of the week is Nicolas Cage’s latest masterpiece Knowing (and I’m only partially being sarcastic, since I actually liked the movie), along with David Goyer’s The Unborn and the sci-fi/action/thriller Push starring Chris Evans and Dakota Fanning. Aside from that, there’s Reclaiming The Blade (a documentary about swords), Nursery University (a documentary about “Ivy League” nursery school admissions), a new Mystery Science Theater 3000 collection, and a box set of the first six animated Charlie Brown TV specials. Also: Peter Benchley’s The Deep and Grumpy Old Men on Blu-ray. Are you planning on buying or renting anything this week?

  1. “Knowing” looks like it could be a fun flick…even for a Cage film.

  2. It’s not. Knowing is terrible. And I liked Next.

  3. Knowing sucks. Bad film, very bad film. That plane crash was good until you see it a second time. The policeman looks to the sky in fear. He looks over Cageboys shoulder but then we see the plane come from behind him. He couldn’t have seen it coming unless it was flying in circles or something.

  4. There was a One Missed Call 3? *pukes in mouth*
