I love Fantasia, but it’s so difficult to plan the trip when the schedule is announced less than a week before the event. I missed last year. Hopefully I can make it to this one.

Oh yeah, are you guys going to be providing coverage of this sucker? I’d love to hear a 2-3 week series of Fantasia-themed Podcasts from you guys! Of course I’d also love to just GO to the freakin’ thing, but I’ll take some EXTENSIVE coverage as a consolation prize!

I can’t believe how long Trick r’ Treat’s been floating around in release hell! At least chuck the fucker onto DVD so SOMEONE can enjoy the damn thing! It’s gotten NOTHING but high praise at every festival it’s been screened. The studio obviously can’t seem to figure out how to market a Halloween-themed horror anthology which seems to me is simplicity in itself.

“hhhmmmmm, maybe we should drop this onto 2 screens in DECEMBER with no trailers or posters to let people know what it is…or better yet, 2 screens in the SUMMER and put it up against one o’ them funnybook movies! Yeeaahh, that’s the ticket! MARKETING GOLD! It worked for OUTLANDER amiright?!”

Why won’t Warner Brothers just give Trick ‘r Treat a wide theatrical release? It was totally made cheaply too, so they were not at risk at losing money.
