Rob Zombie’s Halloween 2 Trailer #2

Brace yourselves… it’s the full theatrical trailer for Rob Zombie’s Halloween 2! There’s not really much to say about this except that it looks every bit as chaotic as each of Zombie’s previous films. Somehow it doesn’t feel very scary or suspenseful, which is something that was kind of lacking from his first Halloween movie as well.
Still, if there’s one thing you can say about Rob Zombie it’s that he doesn’t hold back. This looks pretty brutal, and certainly not for the faint of heart. I’m guessing that if you were a fan of House of 1,000 Corpses or The Devil’s Rejects, there’s a good chance you will also enjoy this, but something tells me this movie might not do so well — especially considering it is being released on August 28th and also has to compete with The Final Destination. Check out the trailer after the jump and see what you think.

The trailer looks oddly boring.
Horror is not only a good genre because it can combine all the other genres, via romance, comedy, and action, but because it’s a good way to create character.
A movie can be scary almost solely with likable characters placed in bad situations.
JMO.
From what I read, Zombie just wants gore and just revels in the kills, and that’s good for his audience, but I hope there’s some sort of good story with it.
He talked about developing the sister character more, so that could be potentially promising, but if I had to place my bets it’s probably been handled incorrectly.
The visual style of the film turns me off the most but the worst part was the boy asking MM was he a giant, which reminded me of the “tooth-fairy” in Transformers.

Posted by Big Hungry on June 23rd, 2009Yeah that was totally a Lou Ferrigno shout out from Rob Zombie.
Posted by Greg on June 23rd, 2009some of those scenes and the tag line “family is forever” seem Texas Chainsaw-ish.

Posted by LOUIS on June 24th, 2009The first one grew on me after I saw it the first time and didn’t like it. This looks like more of the same though… this time though Michael is thought to be dead, but is not dead. Then, he makes his way back to the house he grew up in, and pretty much kills everyone and everything. Not much of a story. Do you want a good story or something that is really gory? I take story.
