Watch the First 12 Minutes of Ron Moore’s Virtuality

I don’t know if I can really consider myself a fan of Battlestar Galactica, considering that I started hating the show about halfway through Season 2 and never really recovered from it. I know I still need to give Season 3 another chance, but either way, I did love the first 1.5 seasons, which makes me at least interested enough to check out anything else that Ronald D. Moore does within the realm of sci-fi.

He’s been working on a new show for Fox this year called Virtuality, about the crew of the starship Phaeton, who use virtual reality to pass the time during their 10 year voyage. In typical Fox fashion, they’re not giving the show much of a chance to survive. The pilot will air on Friday June 26th at 8 pm — that’s right, a Friday evening time slot in the summer. If it is well-received, the show could still be turned into a series, but as of right now, Fox has not ordered any more episodes. At any rate, they’ve released the first 12 minutes of the pilot online to try and generate at least a little bit of interest. Check it out below and let us know what you think!
