No Film Junk Podcast This Week… Expect a Mega Show Next Week

Hey guys, just wanted to give you the heads up that we won’t be recording a podcast this week. I had a family illness that interrupted our usual routine, and it’s been difficult to co-ordinate a time to record ever since. Instead we’ll just focus on having a bigger show next week. So hold tight, and in the meantime, why not go back and revisit some older episodes? Or, you know, read a book or something.

Posted by Neil M on June 9th, 2009Thanks Sean, but every episode of Film Junk is a megashow! Anyway, family goes first so I hope the ilness isn’t too serious.
Posted by Bas on June 10th, 2009Ah poop.
Back to the Dark Tower it is.
Posted by Nate on June 10th, 2009Sorry to hear that sean? Maybe a Junk Mail Extravaganza?? I sent quite a lengthy one in.. =)
Posted by AdamH on June 10th, 2009Sean, I’m dealing with a family emergency now….its difficult to focus on anything else. Hope its going for the better.
Posted by Tomas on June 10th, 2009Well it gives me time to catch up on some older episodes!
Posted by Matt on June 10th, 2009Could it be that Greg is too busy stocking shelves to make it to the show this week? I think the book reference at the end is a clue…
Posted by paulm on June 10th, 2009Hope all is well!
Although I was expecting this episode quite a bit, since I wanted to hear your take on “The Hangover”, I’ll deal with it by actually reading the written review!
Posted by Julien on June 10th, 2009yay! mega show!
Posted by modesilver on June 10th, 2009Take another (or first) listen of Episode 162: 21. It’s an all-time classic with Jay’s singing, the magic discussion, and Sean with his usual deadpan humor. That and the very end: “I watched a movie over the weekend…It was pretty good. Don’t air that.”
Posted by Mason on June 10th, 2009Listeners of the Film Junk podcast should vote for their Top 5 Film Junk podcasts. I’ll have to check out Episode 162: 21, Mason. Not sure what the 21 refers to. Is that like a “chapter: verse” thing like in the bible? Will film people in the future be quoting Sean, Jay and Greg’s scripture?
Posted by Reed Farrington on June 10th, 2009Yes Reed, The Film Junk Pod Cast is now our religion.
Posted by swarez on June 11th, 2009Amen.
Are you being sarcastic, Reed? If not, 21 is the title of a film.
Film Junk is many things, but it is definitely not religion.
Posted by Mason on June 11th, 2009filmjunk inspires, frustrates, and touches children inappropriately(see Drew)…sounds like religion to me.
Posted by rus in chicago on June 11th, 2009Mason, I wasn’t being sarcastic. I guess I was being dense. After your post to explain 21, I remembered 21 with Kevin Spacey.
rus in chicago, after constant exposure to your humor, I’m beginning to find what you say funny. Ha ha.
Posted by Reed Farrington on June 12th, 2009I went back and listened to two old podcasts this week. Ep 209 when Greg watches the wrong movie and the American Gangster one with Reed. Both classics. In the latter Reed states he is excited to see “the new X-Files movie” (which would become I Want To Believe) I’d love to hear his opinion on it today.
Hope we get that mega show soon!
Posted by ProjectGenesis on June 14th, 2009I’ve just spent the last 3 months listening and watching all the old casts and have to say that you guys have a unique blend which leaves you wanting more. Did anyone serious get in touch with you about Albino Man?
Posted by John on June 14th, 2009I think Jay actually had a meeting to pitch it to The Comedy Network here in Canada but it never went any further than that.
