Film Junk Poll: What is the Best Vegas Movie?

Las Vegas is a city with a lot of mystique behind it and as a result it has served as the backdrop for a lot of classic movies. With The Hangover coming out this weekend, it’s time to look back at some of the more memorable ones. The movies on this list vary wildly from genre to genre, but I’m curious to see what will come out on top. Go ahead and vote for your quintessential Vegas flick in the poll, and then let us know which ones we forgot about in the comments below.

  1. Hmm. These movies encompass such a broad range of tones and styles, it’s hard for me to pick one as best.

    Leaving Las Vegas is fantastic but it’s a royal downer, whereas Swingers is a stone classic, even if it launched a million frat-boy getaway weekends and maybe deserves a little backlash.

  5. So many good choices. I ultimately had to go with Gilliam but kudos for putting Diamonds Are Forever on there. That’d have probably been my second or third choice.

    Not only is this the best vegas movie, but one of the best movies ever. you can’t hold a candel to Depps performence in this movie. This poll, i agree with
