David Twohy’s A Perfect Getaway Trailer Starring Milla Jovovich and Timothy Olyphant
David Twohy is best known as the director of the Vin Diesel flick Pitch Black and its sequel, The Chronicles of Riddick, but he’s also been been writing screenplays for years prior to that (some of his credits include The Fugitive, Waterworld and G.I. Jane). Clearly he knows more than just action and sci-fi (although he probably could have been on last week’s poll), and his new movie A Perfect Getaway is simply more evidence of that fact.
The movie is a thriller about two couples who meet up during a tropical vacation in Hawaii, where they soon find that tourists are being stalked and killed. Milla Jovovich, Steve Zahn, Timothy Olyphant and Chris Hemsworth (yes, Thor himself) star, and although there have been a handful of horror movies in this kind of setting lately (Turistas, The Ruins), it seems like the trailer may be hiding a twist or two. Either way, the last 30 seconds seem intent on proving that there will at least be a fair amount of action. I can’t say I’m super excited about this, but it might turn out to be a pleasant surprise. A Perfect Getaway hits theatres on August 14th; check out the trailer below and see what you think.

David Twohy hasn’t made a bad movie yet in my opinion so I’ll be checking this out for sure. Had no idea it was in the making though.

Posted by Kasper F. Nielsen on May 28th, 2009I read somewhere that the filming was done in Hawaii, and this is not true. The cascades you see in this film are located in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico. I will like to know why this information is not disclose. They spend some 30 days on the site filming as I was inform by the Owner Dr. Ruiz.
