Never saw "Rainbow Thief", is it good? Also love and recomend Jodorowsky comics, espetialy the violent "Metabarons" saga and "the Incal" saga. I nearly turned it off in the first ten minutes, it was so bizarre but i kept on with it - all of a sudden, it all clicked into place and is now one of my favourites. Truly an awesome and unforgettable film. Manson was attached to a proposed sequel to El Topo (Sons of El Topo i think) a few years back but it all fell through. I kinda get the feeling this may go the same way. Hope not this time tho' El Topo is amazing. Interestingly enough, The Holy Mountain has been referenced in a couple music videos recently... both Santogold's "L.E.S. Artistes" (http://pitchfork.com/tv/#/musicvideo/1013-santogold-les-artistes-downtown-atlantic) and MGMT's "Time to Pretend" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVnRzEjpUmE).
