Everithing by Jodorowsky is good, "Tusk" and "la cravate" are week wen compared to the others, but there was a very tight budget and are very watchable.

Never saw "Rainbow Thief", is it good?

Also love and recomend Jodorowsky comics, espetialy the violent "Metabarons" saga and "the Incal" saga.

(sorry for my band english)

El Topo is amazing. I nearly turned it off in the first ten minutes, it was so bizarre but i kept on with it - all of a sudden, it all clicked into place and is now one of my favourites. Truly an awesome and unforgettable film.

Manson was attached to a proposed sequel to El Topo (Sons of El Topo i think) a few years back but it all fell through. I kinda get the feeling this may go the same way. Hope not this time tho'

man...I can't believe you have a film blog, yet you don't know of probably the most spoken about underground writer/director of all time.

In the end, I guess you'll have the pleasure of watching his stuff for the first time.

Agreed -- I saw The Holy Mountain and immediately bought the Jordowosky boxed set (which sadly doesn't include Santa Sangre, but you can download that).

Interestingly enough, The Holy Mountain has been referenced in a couple music videos recently... both Santogold's "L.E.S. Artistes" (http://pitchfork.com/tv/#/musicvideo/1013-santogold-les-artistes-downtown-atlantic) and MGMT's "Time to Pretend" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVnRzEjpUmE).

Absolutley. The Holy Mountain is a brilliant flick too. El Topo single handedly created the "midnight movie".

For something a bit more linear, watch Santa Sangre as well.

Cheers
