New To Theatres This Weekend: Terminator Salvation, Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, Dance Flick

Heading into our fourth major weekend of the summer, this is the first weekend where there are three new releases all with the potential to make some decent cash. Terminator Salvation should be a lock to take the box office crown, but don’t underestimate Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, because the first Night at the Museum movie was the #2 movie of 2006, and Dance Flick will probably be yet another Wayans Brothers movie that makes money in spite of the terrible reviews. In select theatres this weekend we have Steven Soderbergh’s The Girlfriend Experience, which was already released on VOD, Easy Virtue starring Jessica Biel, and one of my favourite docs so far this year, Burma VJ. What will you be checking out?
- Terminator Salvation
- Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian
- Dance Flick
- The Girlfriend Experience (limited)
- Burma VJ (limited)
- The Boys: The Sherman Brothers’ Story (limited)
- Easy Virtue (limited)
- The Brothers Bloom (expanding)

Like a 40min drive to see The Girlfriend Experience or just see T4 5min away. Hmm…
Museum2, probably one of the most unwanted sequels to come out this year.
