I thought the film had terrific lacrosse action. Its a fun twist on the martial arts movie genre.

liuime, thx for your assessment of Shaolin Girl. I’m guessing most people would be in agreement with you. I suppose I was charmed by the actresses.

I am curious as to what “genuine/traditional Chinese kung fu” movies you enjoy. Don’t worry. I won’t criticize the movies you enjoy. I’m always on the lookout for a kung fu movie with a screenplay that’s not cliched.

This movie is simply wasting viewers’ time.
Poor screenplay, poor story-telling, poor CG effect, and most importantly, poor KUNG FU! If you find the actions in this movie is acceptable or even cool, then you will be shocked by watching the genuine/traditional Chinese Kungfu movies. You will regret you spared your time on this lousy product.

Yes! CJ7! “Hard on his LUCK” father. Yeah the effects aren’t polished enough to be awesome, but the idea gets points.

Rick has it right. Plus the Japanese/Chinese have their own unique flair for movies. I remember seeing a trailer of something similar but involves the hard on his father buying some sort of alien creature for his son to play with….something like JT7. Anybody heard of it or seen it?

Hey, Slushie Man, it’s good to know that I’m not alone.

rick, I’ve been reviewing a lot of movies which feature Asian women. Women, in general, if I include “Bandidas.” I wonder why that is.

My next movie to review will be “Ong Bak 2″ which doesn’t feature many women for a change. The Movie Macho Reviewers thought really highly of “Ong Bak 2.” Unfortunately, I won’t have the same opinion…

I thought it was a fantastic film, so you’re not alone. There are just some movies that are ‘popular’ to be negative about, even by people who have never seen it, and this is one of those movies I guess.
