They tend to really stick to the story line and even delve into some of the historical comic books. For DC I have to say that Justice League New Frontier was the best. For Marvel, it is a tie between Doctor Strange and The Ultimate Avengers. Of all of these Marvel & DC direct to DVD releases I've only seen Superman: Doomsday. It was decent so I might give this a try.
