Whaddaya Know! Mickey Rourke DID Fight at Wrestling Mania!!

Of course. As it turns out, Mickey Rourke DID indeed step into the wring at last nights Wrestlemania: Part 25 event. Fans went wild as Rourke, sporting a sweet leather vest and an even sweeter leather hat, punched at Chris Jericho until he hit him in his head. BOOM. Rourke wins and the crowd loses its own shit.
Rourke couldn’t quite restrain himself after all. After Jericho won his 3-on-1 match against the legends, he provoked the former boxer Rourke who ended up getting into the ring very slowly and taking his cowboy hat off before punching and knocking down the WWE superstar to gain a measure of revanche for the legends.
So now that the big event is over, was it all worth it? I have yet to talk to anybody who experienced the fight live on some shitty projection screen in some shitty bar, but judging on the shot-off-of-a-TV YouTube video I’ve included below, the fight seemed a little tame. Mickey brought his boxing skills to the table, and Christopher Jericho seemed a bit lost. But whatever; Rourke is probably more trained in the boxing than the wrestling, so why not utilize his skills to their fullest. It’s like when Mr.T boxed Hulk Hogans. That happened right? Or was that Rocky III? Either way, check out the killer vid below:

Dude… sweet… i’ll have to check that up
Posted by Satana Cu Cioc on April 6th, 2009I watched it, 50 inch LCD in HD. Wrestlemania was awesome last night, and for people who thought Mickey Rourke shouldn’t have done it; Mania is twice as big as the superbowl (attendance and entertainment wize) so eat my ass.

Posted by Jay C. on April 6th, 2009Wrestlemania was average. Some huge high points, but waaaaay too many low points and WTF moments.
The inaccuracies in this article are impressive.
Posted by Greg on April 6th, 2009I wish Wrestling was like in The Wrestler, and not as much sweaty guys pretending to punch eachother and staring.
