To be honest though, my only experience with FOX News is Bill O’Reilly clips provided by Andrew James from Rowthree.com, and The Daily Show. So what I know of FOX News is that they produce content like “THE METAL THAT YOU’RE NOT GETTING ENOUGH OF, AND WHY IT MIGHT KILL YOU – RIGHT AFTER THIS”.

I agree. Luckily, they are not a major percentage of the worlds population. FOX News is not worse, but they have a bigger impact, and that factors into the equation.

1) I really have no clue what that is supposed to mean… Are you saying FOX should be offended if another news organization is attracting the nazi-pedophile target market?

2) I think I am attacking FOX here, not defending it. FOX fired the guy. I’m saying they should not have.

He didn’t get fired for downloading and watching the pirated movie, he got fired for writing a review of it. He got fired for doing his job. I think that’s kind of fucked up. Apparently I am in the minority.

Shut-Up Ed, I couldn’t help but notice your comments on last week’s Open Forum Friday discussion:

“I’m not sure how anyone can make a serious argument that is ethical to watch pirated movies.”

“Look, NOBODY wants to pay $10 for a movie that will probably suck but pirating movies is stealing, plain and simple. The hundreds of workers and investors (and even actors) that create these movies do it to make a profit, it is a service. Not paying for that service is stealing.”

Are you saying it’s not stealing because he is an entertainment writer?

I should also note that his job is to report on *finished* movies, not ones missing half of the special effects. FYI: he did seem to endorse downloading it, and talked about how easy it was and how he might also download I Love You, Man next because he had been meaning to see it.
