Weren’t there also articles in prints last week that Viggo is calling it quits? Done with acting? Not sure which one of these stories is actually correct.

cronenberg with ludlum plot. awesome. hopefully he can skillfully include all the usual ludlum twists and turns without making a marathon movie.

He was my favorite in Nightbreed as well. I thought Clive Barker was going to release a Nightbreed directors cut sometime?

This news makes me much more interested in this project. The fact that they are letting him do it his way (well so far) is pretty strange. I would rather want him to make at least one more science fiction/bodily horror film before any thing else, but i love me some Cronenberg. And with Tom Cruise and Denzel Washington, i cannot wait to see what he does with them. So now we get this and Eastern Promises 2, I have a feeling he is very close to making his masterpiece!

Cronenberg was my favourite part of Nightbreed. I even dressed up as Doctor Decker one Halloween.

I’ve never been a big Cronenberg fan (although his acting job as a psycho psychiatrist in Night Breed was pretty awesome), but I loved Eastern Promises. Loved it. If his movies are moving in that direction, it can only be a good thing for me. I’m excited about EP2.
