Great movie. Please don’t watch it if you expect a lot of sex, stupid jokes, pointless action. This movie has more of an independent touch to it. Even Kristen Stewart could not ruin it entirely. Jesse has got to be one of the most talented actors out there, great portrayal. I actually expected it to be another silly comedy, but although filled with some pretty hilarious moments, it is very sweet and nicely done film

I got it – unsympathetic is unsympathetic, not hate. I had no problem with it, I can relate to someone coming of age and being confused and generally angry. I think its natural for people to rebel against what they grew up with, even if what they grew up with is pretty good, people want to carve something out for themselves. I know people from good homes who rebelled or fucked up because they were under pressure to succeed and weren’t ready for having to face more school or work. It happens :/

Knowing many people from divorced families, I can tell you it’s always kind of complex. Resentment over the split, being torn between two parents who can and will fight over you, and will use you as a sounding board to rail against the other, trying to get you to take sides. in cases where the new girlfriend etc is stricter or was the one who caused the break, there’s more resentment and blame towards them as the one who put your life into chaos, etc

I’m not saying you have to sympathize her, but this sort of thing is common, and children of every age go through a lot of emotions when it happens.

Just saw this and it was pretty good. A little long, but Jesse Eisenberg is great. So was Ryan Reynolds, perfect sleazeball.

I may be in a dangerously revealing minority with this, but I grew to hate Kristen Stewarts character, not for anything other than the obvious. I mean why was she so ‘fucked up’? It doesn’t seem that a divorce and a new mom would be that devastating to somebody mature enough to go off and study and live by themselves in the city. It just annoyed me that she constantly played this (don’t send the feminists at me) victim card, at some point you stop having sympathy for her, just a little bit, and I did get the “This bitch is trying to pull a fast one on me” feeling at the appropriate moments in the movie.

I guess it’s succesful storytelling on one level. Pretty good movie overall.

this movie sucks asshole, i didnt even pay to see it, i downloaded it illegaly, and it still wasnt worth the time spent downloading it, there is no plot,no action and not even one part that made me laugh. and to top it off u dont even see the fuck scene in the end when she finally stops being a cock blocking bitch! final verdict…. this movie blows hairy sweaty saggy old ass donkey balls, dont see it period.

This was one of the best films I’ve ever seen. Period. An instant classic. Anyone who does not like this film is just not tuned into the world around them. This film speaks to the post college American experience on so many levels. Brilliant. Go See This Film.

This movie was filmed in the exact amusement park i work at, Kennywood. Its amazing because its the shittiest job and you make the best friends in the world there, the movie portrays what we all think, this job is shit, i cant wait to get off and dick around here with my friends. I loved it. 5/5

This review is spot on. It is my favorite this year so far. The characters really draw you in and you can’t help but fall in love with all of them. Jesse Eisenberg, although comparable to Michael Cera, made the character his own. Saying he’s another Michael Cera is not fair.

But yeah, not everybody is going to like it. To them, try sticking to movies with Matthew McConaughey in them.
