I'm really looking forward to this first new movie, as for a sequel... I am a bit worried. If they (for any reason) rush it, they will get a Quantum of Solace - a movie that is too similar to the first and lacks the freshness and urgency.

Allow me to illustrate my point: if I order a steak in a restaurant and it turns out delicious, I don't want a steak the next day that he had been preparing at the same time as the first! I want to wait a week, tell the chef what I thought of the first steak and then let him cook me up a new steak with my comments in mind. Okay, I guess if you really did that you'd get a side order of spit... But you know what I mean, right? :)

I for one am not impressed about the addition of the Lost Producer, Lindelof since I never really got into the show and found the series boring. Of course I am in the minority when it comes to the series "Lost" but overall J.J. has never really impressed me. Alias did not interest me as did Lost and Cloverfield was pretty good but nothing innovative and MI III was of no interest to me as well.

I am skeptical of the New Trek but will definitely see it. I hope that it succeeds because if not Trek will be in serious trouble.

In my opinion Paramount must have a good amount of confidence in this new Trek to be talking about a new sequel. Or maybe they just wanted this writers on the cheap negotiating a new contract before the movie came out and possibly becoming a huge success...which I might believe knowing how cheap Paramount is. They are a really cheap studio.

This is really suprising to me because I think this is the one blockbuster that I think has the biggest chance of failure. I mean I want to see it, most people see it as a joke. But then again everyone laughed when I saw the Transformers trailer in theaters and that was huge.
