Dude….it’s not a comedy. Let’s try some facts for a change. BTW – your picture is of Canadian box lacrosse, not the field lacrosse that’s played outside. Canadians play box lacrosse because it’s inside and they have about 10 months of winter. The sport played in the US high schools and colleges is field lacrosse. There’s also a professional field lacrosse league, Major League Lacrosse (MLL)…not just the NLL (which is box lax). Just a *little* bit of research and you could have been relevant.

You’re an idiot. Lacrosse is an American sport, in fact, it is THE American sport. For those of you that say Canada is better at lacrosse, check who won the most recent world championships. And obscure? It is one of the most played sports in the northern U.S, and moving farther and farther south as I type this. Do some research, and get your facts straight.

I could tell this wasn’t worth reading after the first sentence. “…the relatively obscure Canadian sport…” might want to do some research next time. Lacrosse is a Native American sport played by the Iroquois in Upstate New York.

There was no U.S. or Canadian sides back when “LACROSSE” was played, lacrosse was used as a ceremony for the Iroqious. So before everyone starts saying this and that about lacrosse you should get your facts striaght and learn your history.

This is the an outrageous article. Lacrosse is an obscure canadian sport? The 2009 NCAA lacrosse national championship was on espn. Do you know the new Jets/Giants stadium built this year? The first athletic event to be played there will be lacrosse in April. Come on man.

whoever wrote this review is a faggot. lacrosee is the real US past-time, not baseball. While it is played and enjoyed in canada as well, it is a large part of (North)American sports culture as a whole. It is also growing very fast in other countries, i.e. australia. while predominatly centralized in colder-weather areas (NY, Maryland, Canada), it is really up-and-coming in warm-weather climates, as this reduces the need for indoor leagues. College coaches and scouts currently travel most to southern california for today’s new talent. lacrosse was also featured in the first American Pie movie, with the lead characcters as the players of the team.
