New To Theatres This Weekend: Race to Witch Mountain, Miss March, The Last House on the Left

We’ve got a strange cross-section of new films hitting theatres this weekend, from a remake of Wes Craven’s controversial The Last House on the Left to family action-adventure film Race to Witch Mountain, to yet another teen sex comedy, Miss March starring Craig Robinson. Still, the movie that everyone will be keeping an eye on is Watchmen, to see just how well it can maintain an audience in its second week. Will it stand strong, or will it drop like a rock? Something tells me it doesn’t have a chance against the charisma of The Rock, but who knows. What are you checking out this weekend?

  1. If Tokyo Sonata is playing anywhere near any of the filmjunk readers. GET THEE TO THE CINEMA! One of the best films I caught last year (it played at TIFF). Wow.

  2. If I could, I would check out “Severed Ways”. I don’t really like The Rock, horror-movies or teen sex-comedies all that much. At least not enough to pay for them.

  3. Looks like Tokyo Sonata is only playing in New York, Kurt. IMDB seems to forget about many limited release movies on their “opening this week” section. Sean never fucks up with his section, hehe.
