More Super Bowl Spots: Star Trek, Year One, Land of the Lost Trailers

We’ve got a few more Super Bowl spots for your dissection today, including a new trailer for J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek, the debut trailer for the new Harold Ramis comedy Year One, and our first look at the Will Ferrell comedy/adventure Land of the Lost. Of the three clips, Year One has me the most intrigued, although it is a lot longer than the others (and, strangely, doesn’t even mention the name of the film). Michael Cera and Jack Black play hunter-gatherers who encounter Cain and Abel (David Cross and Paul Rudd). Check out the spots below and see what you think.

  1. Year One looks hilarious, as expected.

  2. Year One looks like a very middle of the road SNL sketch, circa 1998.

  3. Better than a middle of the road SNL sketch, circa 2009 I guess.

  4. Not sure what I think about Land of the Lost. I love those guys but LOL shouldn’t be funny should it? (Yes I see the irony in what I just typed).

I did catch the Sleestacks though. Cool. They’re not all “21st century”; they are old school sleestacks. That’s awesome. Anyone know how to properly spell Sleestacks?

  5. All 3 movies looks like they have the potential to be awesome, especially “Land of the Lost” has me interested.
