A friend of mine saw an early screening of "The Uninvited" and it sounds like they butchered it up quite a bit (no pun intended) and 'ruined' another good one, as expected. I don't mind Hollywood remakes, and it doesn't make me appreciate the originals any less... I just feel bad for the typical movie-goer who gets a bad image of the genre and has to put up with junk. I think The Ring was the only one yet to come out alright, not that it kept the same feel. I'm going to see The Wrestler this weekend. I'm psyched about it, since it's now playing in major theaters around here. It seems that the major theaters and indie theaters alike are picking up all the oscar nominees.
