New To Theatres This Weekend: My Bloody Valentine 3-D, Notorious, Paul Blart: Mall Cop

The good news is, there are finally some new releases in theatres this weekend. The bad news is, they’re pretty much all cheap thrills! It will be interesting to see which of these flicks draws the biggest crowd. I think Notorious, Paul Blart: Mall Cop, and My Bloody Valentine 3-D all have a good shot at bringing down Clint Eastwood’s Gran Torino. Edward Zwick’s Defiance could also drum up some business now that it’s in wide release, and then there’s Dreamworks’ Hotel for Dogs, which may win based on cute factor alone! Who will win this massive box office battle? And, more importantly, what are you watching this weekend?

My Bloody Valentine 3-D
Paul Blart: Mall Cop
Notorious
Defiance
Hotel for Dogs
Last Chance Harvey (expanding)
Chandni Chowk to China (limited)

  1. Looks like it’ll be a good weekend to stay home and watch cartoons.

  2. Compared to modern day slashers, I’d say this is about as good as the original was to early 80’s slashers.
