I’m glad Omar wasn’t totally positive on Gremlins 2 because it’s nice to have some differing points of view in these discussions. A lot of people do think Gremlins 2 is too goofy, and it’s a totally valid opinion.

Neil: My appreciation for Joseph-Gordon Levitt is based entirely on Brick and The Lookout. For what it’s worth, I hate 3rd Rock From The Sun, and there are a lot of his movies I still haven’t even seen (including 10 Things I Hate About You).

That’s one I can really get hyped over.
Night of the Creeps is just a marvelous little hommage film while Gremlins 2 is a pure delight!

Omar doesnt know what he is talking about with this…you guys are all spot on…he doesnt even seem to be listening or understanding ANYTHING when it comes to all the very intelligent (considering the subject matter) analysis you guys are giving out. Gremlins 2 is the greatest looney tunes motion picture ever…and a comedy masterpiece…haha, Dante is possibly my favorite director all around (see henrik, we probably dont have much in common) and Gremlins 2 is a dark comedy masterpiece of film, hollywood, business, and technology satire (i even have a framed poster of it in my home)…as you guys kind of said in the beginning. Yes…i’m being serious.

and honestly most of the people i know love it…I never thought it was written off, most “film fans” that I’ve met totally love it. Then again, like sean said…they GET it.
