Ace Ventura Jr: Pet Detective Trailer Starring Josh Flitter
We first heard rumours about this abomination sometime last year, and of course, it seemed far too stupid to be true. Alas, now we have the trailer and DVD artwork to prove it: Ace Ventura Jr: Pet Detective is real, and it will be released this March. You won’t be surprised to hear that the Jim Carrey-less sequel is going direct to DVD, and it stars Josh Flitter (Nancy Drew) as the prodigal son, wearing the exact same outfit and spouting off the exact same one-liners that Carrey did some 15 years later. This is just downright painful to watch. The DVD hits stores on March 3rd, and will include 6 behind the scenes featurettes, extended scenes, and a gag reel. Gag indeed! Let this be a lesson kids… don’t snort cocaine and try to run a movie studio at the same time. It’s not good for business.

The kid looks nothing like him and his pathetic attempts at apeing Jim Carrey’s mannerisms are awful at best. Will probably be worse than the Dumb/Dumber prequel. There goes this kid’s career.

Doesn’t matter WHO you get to play the part, you’re never going to get anything nearly as good as Carrey.
This movie is going to bomb.
The kid in this movie just doesn’t fit the part he’s to dual and not enough energy put into it.They should have found someone that look more like a jr. jim carey that had the comedy like him this kid just makes its alot more cheasier.could of alot more work to it and different actors.

Nielsen on February 19th, 2009ummm.. i wasn’t searching for it. kinda stumbled upon it. i think my daughter might like this bc she doesnt know any better. they should have had dewie or even malcolm from malcolm in the middle & then jim carry sleuthing along side him. that would have been good. this movie looks like it sucks
