I think cellphones were a natural extension of walkie-talkies. So even if you could narrow the invention of the cellphone to one person who had watched Star Trek, there would probably have been some other person who could have been responsible and not watched Star Trek. I know it's impossible to know what the world would be like had Star Trek not been created. You would think the average person would revere Star Trek for its apparent impact on society.
