Monday Morning Box Office Report: Zac and Ashley Beat Zack and Miri
Overall it was a pretty slow weekend at the box office, with High School Musical 3 predictably coming out on top after earning another $15 million. Kevin Smith’s Zack and Miri Make a Porno still managed to slide in to the second spot, however, despite early reports of a disastrous Friday showing (it turns out there was a little thing called Halloween going on that day). By comparison, Clerks II only made $10 million in its first weekend anyway. Saw V was a close third with just over $10 million, while Clint Eastwood’s Changeling managed $9.4 million in its first weekend of wide release. The Haunting of Molly Hartley was #5 with a lacklustre $6 million opening. Can HSM 3 hope to go three weeks in a row against Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa?

Everyone should go see “Rachel Getting Married” before anything else on this list. Though I do want to check out Changeling.
Posted by Andrew James on November 3rd, 2008I think Pride and Glory looks pretty good, I should of saw that this weekend instead of Eagle Eye. I’m also looking forward to Zack and Miri but i’m defenitly going to have to wait for video for that one.
