I don’t know if they are trying to become high art. I figure it makes sense to get good writers on any project and if it’s a fun comic movie filled with spectacle then that’s great! I mean the key to something being “high art” is that it’s supposed to be boring and require the audience to work and struggle to understand and appreciate it right? I’d imagine that makers of such things don’t mind being given the chance to work on a project where there can be a little more levity.

I’ll bet they’ll finally turn Kurt Connors into The Lizard. Maybe they’ll also do the youth-draining storyline involving The Vulture…man…hopefully this will be better than 3.
