Weekly Poll Results: Best Bond Movie
Well, the people have spoken, and it looks like Casino Royale is far and away the best James Bond movie of all time. Are you surprised? Yeah, me neither. “Out with the old, in with the new”, as they say. A distant second was Goldfinger (also not particularly surprising), although I was a bit shocked to see Goldeneye in the #3 position. From Russia With Love and On Her Majesty’s Secret Service rounded out the top 5. The Living Daylights was all the way down at #10, which was kind of expected, but I wanted to give Timothy Dalton fans some representation anyway. What are the best of the rest? Where do you think Quantum of Solace will fit into this list?

Wow. I haven’t seen many of the Bond movies, but if Casino Royale is the best, then I will not be watching any others.

Posted by Ian on October 30th, 2008I have seen all the bond films over the years some good and some terrible. Casino royale is with out doubt the best. You see bonds origins and the fact he is a cold blooded killer, the job he employed to do and what the original books intended. Quantum of solace is not as good but a reasonable sequel. Its about time they made a Bond film an 18 certificate to reflect the real character of the books, dark, mean and a pure cold blooded assassin.

Posted by um on July 2nd, 2009On Her Majesty’s Secret Service IS the best bond..bc it has the best female in diana rigg (in terms of acting). And it does what no bond movie has done..it breaks your heart. Bond shows depths of emotion never seen before or since (maybe some in casino)
