Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire Trailer

By now you’ve probably heard plenty of bloggers and film critics raving about Danny Boyle’s latest film Slumdog Millionaire, about a teenager who makes it to the final question on the Indian version of Who Wants To Be a Millionaire. It’s inspiring, energetic and uplifting, and his life story is told through a unique series of flashbacks based on the questions in the game. Even with a brief plot synopsis, however, you’re probably still wondering what exactly this movie is about. Well, the only way to find that out is to see it for yourself, and in North America everyone will finally get the chance on November 12th.
In the meantime, you can now check out the official trailer for the movie over at Yahoo! (as opposed to the various promo clips that have been floating around out there). It’s a tough movie to summarize and sell within two minutes, but I think they do a pretty good job of it. Of course, they use the same Sigur Ros song that was in the Children of Men trailer last year, but when it evokes all the right emotions, how can you complain? I’ll update this post with an embeddable version as soon as I find one, in the meantime, follow the link below to watch.
