Jonas Brothers to Star in Walter The Farting Dog

Teen sensations The Jonas Brothers rose to fame with the help of the Disney Channel movie Camp Rock and appearances on Hannah Montana, but now they’re moving up in the world as they prepare to star in their first theatrical feature film for 20th Century Fox. The movie is called Walter the Farting Dog, and is based on a series of books by William Kotzwinkle and Glenn Murray! No, seriously. But wait, it gets better: The Farrelly Brothers are supposedly in talks to direct!

Alec Sokolow and Joel Cohen (Garfield, Cheaper By The Dozen, Daddy Day Camp) will write the script, which is about a large, flatulent dog named Walter, and a group of young musicians whose family is asked to take care of him. The movie will even star the youngest Jonas brother, Frankie, who gets into all kinds of trouble including trying to stop a group of jewel thieves. I can sense that we’ve got a massive hit on our hands here. All I know is that I want to read the book before the movie comes out so that I can be sure to get the full farting dog experience. (Oh wait… I already have that at home.)

  1. This sounds … awful. I can’t imagine why the JoBros would even consider touching this project.

  2. WoW!….I’m not even going to get started on this one. (angry face needed)
