First Proper Friday the 13th Remake Theatrical Trailer
Apparently the Friday the 13th teaser trailer that we posted a few days ago was just a repackaging of some Comic Con footage that had already been floating around for a while now. The real theatrical trailer for the remake arrived online shortly afterward and was playing in front of Saw V this weekend. It adds a bit more atmosphere and a voiceover from Jason’s mom (who obviously won’t be the main villain this time around), which gives the images a bit more context. I still can’t say I’m all that impressed with what I’m seeing, but there’s a part of me that is excited nonetheless. I do, however, feel like it’s false advertising to say, “From the Director of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre”! Friday the 13th hits theatres on Friday, February 13th, 2009. Jason Vorhees rocks! For all the other 10 movies in the collection not one was bad. However, some were better than others. Look at Jason X….that seems like it should be have been crap, but turned out better than I thought it would.

Cause as you mentioned, and we all know, Jason wasn’t the killer in the original Friday the 13th. Also, he didn’t wear a hockey mask in the 2nd film.
If anything, it’s a remake of the third film. I guess.

For all you Treknobabblers out there who weren’t aware, Kira from DS9 is playing Jason’s mom in this new film.
