New To Theatres This Weekend: Max Payne, Sex Drive, W.
Hitting theatres this weekend we have the long-awaited adaptation of the popular video game Max Payne starring Mark Wahlberg… alas, the reviews are looking pretty dismal, with only 11% on Rotten Tomatoes. Also out this weekend is Oliver Stone’s W., a movie we here at Film Junk have really been looking forward to, although the public response will be hard to predict. Sex Drive is a teen sex comedy that has been getting surprisingly good reviews, and The Secret Life of Bees is the Dakota Fanning/Queen Latifah feel-good drama. In select theatres we have the comedy What Just Happened? starring Robert DeNiro and also Madonna’s directorial debut Filth & Wisdom. What will you be checking out?
