Monday Morning Box Office Report: Chihuahuas Still Hot

Wow… Beverly Hills Chihuahua topped the box office for the second weekend in a row despite the large number of new releases in theatres. Perhaps it was simply a case of too much choice, but Quarantine still managed second place with $14.2 million, followed by Body of Lies with $13.1 mil. City of Ember, on the other hand, bombed pretty hard, taking in just $3.2 million. Clearly it didn’t connect with the family audience that they were aiming for. The Express debuted at #6 with $4.73 million.

  6. Well I just watched Speedracer and that was some good escapism. Something this bad would just force me to think about how shitty the world is. Though who knows maybe it’s complex or just fun? Probably not.
