I have some more ideas on casting David Borrenza as the reporter that Marc Singer played. Micheal Chiklis as the guy Micheal Ironside played Kirsten Dunst as the mother of the star child and the original as her mother or if to old the original star child and Zac from Bones as the alien Robert Englund played. I doubt these ideas'll be considered but it'd be a laugh if they were.

This is the first I've heard about this but I think a remake is a grate idea they could defently update the effects like that cheesy lizard birth. but mainly I'd like to see people from the original playing another part like Robert Englund playing the jewish grandad for example Eva Longoria would make a grate Diana and the original who was well fit back then could be the the granny with the shopping trolly who through the petrol bomb in the alien car right behind the 2 that were arresting those three guys. Oh and they've gotta find an excuse to put Marc Singer & Micheal Ironside in it

The invaders should be a UN force that coming into a Middle Eastern country and then it would be like bureaucratic oversight fails because no country can account for the force and "Oh snap" they're aliens! Who have taken over a country with some natural resource the world depends on and in so doing have carved out a control on the lifeblood of human civilization. It'd certainly be relevant to today. You'd have Michael Ironside be on the front in his Seaquest sub and Singer could rally the natatives of the country (man and beast alike) to rebellion offering a resistance from within.

Now pay me Hollywood.

Awesome news....in theory! Ironside was definitely "V" material. I'm really excited for this. Hopefully they dump the cheesy "nazi" schtick from it and use something more modern and relevant.

In my more cynical years I've said that the 80's offered us great stuff like V and Transformers but there was also a lot of crap like V and Transformers. I think it was right before being a dick in the internet became cool. Really one way to make this work: Michael "Capt'n Oliver Hudson" Ironside. I want a shot for shoot remake of the scene where he pours that red powder on one of the lizards gleefully.
