Milla Jovovich to Replace Brittany Snow in Video Game Adaptation Clock Tower?

Aspiring actors and actresses, beware: it seems that once you’ve shown that you will stoop so low as to star in a movie based on a video game, there’s a good chance your career will only lead to more of the same! Bloody Disgusting intercepted an interesting rumour this week about the upcoming big screen adaptation of the survivor horror game Clock Tower, and it looks like they might have a new leading lady lined up.

It’s not really a shocker, but according to their source, Milla Jovovich may be starring in the film, which is being directed by Martin Weisz (The Hills Have Eyes II, Rohtenburg). She would reportedly be playing 18-year-old Alyssa Barron, the college coed who has a connection to an old hotel where the body of a killer known as Scissor Man was strung up by the townsfolk (from its clock tower, of course). The weird thing is, it was just announced last month that Brittany Snow would be starring in the film. Jovovich is a lot older than Snow, so it seems a bit questionable… not to mention the fact that Jovovich has plenty of rabid fans who may just be trying to will this story into becoming fact. That said, if it is true, she’d probably be the only thing the movie currently has going for it. Have many people even played this Clock Tower series? I’d barely even heard of it, and what reason is there to base on a movie on a video game other than name recognition?

  1. This just in! Milla Jovovich to star in every video game to film adaptation ever made!

  2. I dont know how Milla Jovovich being in a movie means it has something going for it.

  3. I’m a survival horror fan. Played the first one (or was it the first one?)…way back on PSone. RE3: Nemesis owned when it came to the slasher-like game dynamic (never knowing when some fucked up guy or creature you can’t kill is going to chase you) but it was still a fun game. But that’s just it…slashers are old news in movies. Clock Tower has no following for easy money milking! Plus, Jovovich is way too old.

    They just lost the game.
