In an interview he did in 2005 with Geoff Pevere and Richard Crouse (of Reel 2 Real fame), he confirmed that he was offered Flashdance, Return of the Jedi, and Witness (which was coincidentally Viggo's first screen role). I believe he was also offered Constantine more recently, but he said he didn't do that one because (paraphrase) "I don't do ghosts/vampires/demons." If Viggo's in this new Denzel movie, sign me up! I think Eastern Promises was technically an indie flick, although A History of Violence wasn't. This would take him right to the top of the food chain.
