Bedtime Stories Trailer Starring Adam Sandler

Two years ago, Night at the Museum was one of the surprise hits of the holiday season, with Ben Stiller and Co. racking up over $574 million worldwide. Apparently it had just the right mix of adventure and comedy to pack in families, and this year, I can already see that we’ve got another family-friendly flick that’s bound to rack up some massive box office bank: Bedtime Stories starring Adam Sandler. Yep, that’s right… Adam Sandler’s starring in a Disney movie!

Sandler plays Skeeter Bronson, a hotel handyman with an active imagination who is asked to babysit his niece and nephew. The weird thing is, when he tells them bedtime stories, they come to life the next day! The movie has echoes of Jumanji and Bruce Almighty (among others), and for obvious reason, it looks like a pretty special effects-heavy film. Director Adam Shankman previously did Hairspray, The Pacifier and Bringing Down the House. The trailer looks as harmless and predictable as you’d expect, although there is a certain infectiousness to it that makes me think it could be good clean fun. Bedtime Stories hits theatres on Christmas Day; check out the trailer below and see what you think.
