Sold Out: A Threevening with Kevin Smith DVD Trailer

Kevin Smith’s third spoken word DVD is finally confirmed to be heading to stores next month, just in time to promote the release of Zack and Miri Make a Porno. Sold Out: A Threevening with Kevin Smith features more spoken word/Q&A stories with everyone’s favourite fanboy-turned-director, recorded on the night of August 2nd, 2007 — his 37th birthday! The running time is almost 4 hours (222 minutes to be exact), and the DVD will also include over an hour of “uncensored outtakes”.

They’ve also released a trailer for the DVD online, although it doesn’t offer much more than a few quick two-second clips from the show itself. You can get your hands on this two-disc special edition on October 21st at a suggested retail price of $19.97 US. That’s less than 10 cents per minute of entertainment! Not a bad deal at all.

  1. I really enjoyed the first one. KS really can speak and is damn funny. Part 2 felt a bit more forced, too long and a little self-indulgent – I didn’t even get through the whole thing.

So I’m not really all that interested in a pt. 3. I’ll check out some of it I’m sure, but likely just more of the same gets to be a bit tedious.

  2. I don’t care what anyone says, I love Kevin Smith. I would go gay for that guy in a heartbeat. :)

  3. The only thing that really irks me about these are the fucking US audiences who are constantly shouting some “witty” quotes out trying to get his attention in a desperate attempt to have him like them. It’s like everyone thinks that he would point to them and say: “You’re cool, lets hang out.”

I noticed that the UK audience was way better, just sat and listened to him and talked when he asked them a question.

  4. Thanks for the tip! Just ordered this. Just like Andrew James, I loved the first one but the second one.. not so much ;)
    Looking forward to this.
    :)
