I usually only do it with movies over 2 hours, but i think i could watch grindhouse at home easily because it’s to different movies and that is like a intermission, but with the fake trailers and stuff it would be way better. I think people just didn’t understand it, they went to see pirates right?

I think Grindhouse kind of proved that most people don’t want to spend that much time trapped in a theatre. Given the chance, I would gladly watch it that way (with an intermission of course) but I think it’s just wishful thinking to assume that someone would actually spend money to put something like this in a lot of theatres.

True, there can be distractions at home, but if you can’t resist the temptation to turn on a laptop then you probably aren’t enjoying the movie!

I’m not sure how long these films were, but I’ve sat through Seven Samurai, Gone With the Wind, Once Upon a Time in America etc..all of which had an intermission. Although I watched them at home, I could sit through 4+ hours as long as its good. Seeing good movies at the theater is much better no matter the length.

If Che has an intermission segment, then that would be awesome. Missing 3 minutes to go to take a piss is not a big fuckin deal. I guess just make sure you won’t take a shit in the next 5 hours.

Yeah watching a long movie at home sucks balls, because you get distracted and do other things etc.

Being scared of a 4Ã‚Â½hour theatre experience is ridiculous. I mean there is an obvious advantage to seing anything in the theatre (home cinema is still horrible by comparison). But I guess this would not be something for the drive-in crowd!

That is the farthest thing from the truth, i find it much harder to watch a long flick in my house than in the theatre. I don’t know why, I guess thats just how i am. For example, I loved King Kong in the theatre but i bought it on DVD and I still haven’t watched it all the way through.
