I rewound that probably twenty times. The man is a legend. It’s from the versus segment in the ‘Children of Men’ episode (around 20 minutes left) if anyone wants to hear it.

CG turtles is cool with me. I doubt it could be anything but a comedy with men-in-suits, and I’m all for that, but I’m all for the other thing as well. I love most of the action in TMNT, and I doubt that could be recreated with men-in-suits. I mean be honest everyone, even though the first movie is pretty good, the ‘ninja’ aspects are pretty laughable.

I wonder why the ninja turtles are so endearing to me. I think it comes down to the look, just being so awesome. I’ve always loved green for some reason, and both the primary-color look of the cartoon AND the shadowy, art-deco look of the turtles in TMNT I think are completely awesome.

It’s weird because I didn’t think the new generation of TMNT shows had the child fanbase to warrant a live-action film. I guess they are going after us twenty somethings who grew up with the original stuff. They need to do Krang or Baxter Stockman or any other villians this time as well. Maybe even some of the mood from the original comics would be refreshing here.

How in the Hell is calling back the director of the original a re-invention? And I think everyone in the world would agree that CG turtles would be shit.

I think those movies will be Shyamalan’s return to form! He’ll finally be trying new things.
