Film Junk Weekend Wrap-Up: Aug. 31, 2008

This week in the world of movies, we’ve got more sequels, lawsuits and live action adaptations of 80’s cartoons, plus a Facebook movie to boot! A new trailer for the fourth installment of The Fast and The Furious series hit the web, and Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor got to know each other a little more intimately on the set of I Love You Phillip Morris. James Gunn hinted at another intriguing new project starring Nathan Fillion, and the release of Baz Luhrmann’s Australia got delayed, but no one threatened to boycott the studio! Go figure.

I never would have thought I’d see Carrey go gay. McGregor doesn’t surprise me one bit though.

Posted by Drew on September 1st, 2008Wow, that is quite the still to release right off the bat. Looks like it’s trying to attract the same hype and controversy that Brokeback did. Great casting with Carrey and McGregor … looks like it’s going to be romantic!
