I just finished watching Babylon A.D. And I thought it was a thoroughly enjoyable and thought-provoking film! At least the Unrated Extended Cut was. And as I presciently speculated, there is no director commentary on the DVD. I might do a Bargain Bin review of it. Has anyone else watched this film? And liked it? I think the film got generally bad reviews, but I don't know what the major criticisms are. People seem to think I have bad taste in films. I wanted to confirm it. :-) I guess I’ll follow up on my own comment from under a year ago. I just finished watching Babylon A.D. I don't remember a director ever doing that before. I think there's been actors who have done it and retractions quickly followed for damage control. Here's what he said: "I'm very unhappy with the film. The script wasn't respected. Bad producers, bad partners. It was a terrible experience." Now I can't wait for the DVD release to listen to the director's commentary! Oh, wait. Maybe the studio won't let him do a commentary...
