Madonna’s Filth and Wisdom Trailer
Hey look, who decided to direct a movie! I guess Madonna figured that if Fred Durst can do it, she can too. Unfortunately, Madge’s directorial debut Filth and Wisdom has been getting some pretty dismal reviews ever since it premiered at the Berlin Film Festival… you’d think that after Swept Away she might have learned that film isn’t really her forte.
Now granted, I haven’t seen the movie myself, but after watching this trailer, I don’t think that I want to. The story is about three roommates living in London: a drug-addicted pharmacist, a wanna-be ballerina working as a stripper, and a wanna-be rock star working as a cross dressing dominatrix. Some may recognize Eugene Hutz as Alex from Everything Is Illuminated, and he’s about the only thing that looks mildly amusing here. Surprisingly, even Madonna’s husband Guy Ritchie wouldn’t have anything to do with this one! Filth and Wisdom hits select theatres on October 17th; check out the French trailer below (be warned, there is some brief nudity).

This looks like rubbish. A clear example of a superstar trying to bite off more than they can chew. Madonna, please stick to music.
