When I saw the trailer, I was happy to see most of the original cast. The first movie (to me) was fun. I liked all of the characters. Of course, if you’re a big movie nerd like I am, you’d know that it was either inspired or a remake of the movie, Point Break.
However, I always felt like the first F&F was incomplete (for all the surviving charaters.) The way it ended. Considering the fact that they’re comin back in this new one has me real curious. It almost feels like this sequel is technically the second installment. 2 Fast 2 Furious sucked, in my opinion (2 fake 2 phony). I liked the third one, a lot more than I thought, especially when Vin popped up as a cameo at the end. After watchin that, I was really hopin they would bust out with the old school cast, in order to have a chance at saving the franchise. I didn’t see the 2nd or 3rd one in the theater, cause I didn’t have enough interest. But I’m down for this one.

oh yeah…

Fuck ya’ll Vin Diesel haters. And for thoughs who haven’t seen Paul Walker in, Running Scared…

I don’t think a lot of people are impressed that the original cast is back, Joel. Just for different reasons then you are.
I agree with Primal on his breakdown, except for Rodriguez. I could never stand her.
And Jordana Brewster looks totally dead-behind-the-eyes soulless.
I have a feeling this movie is going to be either an abomination, or abysmally mediocre.

It’s funny how this trailer is putting so much emphasis on the fact that it going to have the original cast and that they know this hook will get people to watch this movie. What have they even done since then?

Vin Diesel – Been doing the doing the Riddick movies and had a chance to work with Sidney Lumet.

Paul Walker – Nothing worth mentioning. A paycheck actor for sure.

Michelle Rodriguez – I think she is the only one out of the bunch who has talent.

Jordana Brewster – Gimme a break. She is fucking wallpaper. She’s scenery. I’m sure she’ll play that part well again.

I never saw the first two films, but I actually liked the Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. It was a post-globalization version of classic, cheesy teen/drag racing/exploitation flicks that actually was really fun and didn’t take itself nearly as seriously as it seems like the others do. So I’m probably the only person who’s actually not impressed that they brought back the original characters.

Not to say that it’s a good movie, but I enjoyed The Fast & The Furious when someone else paid for my ticket to go see it back when it was in theaters. The first two sequels both looked like garbage to me and I never saw them. Somehow…this trailer actually doesn’t seem as bad as 2 Fast, 2 Furious and Tokyo Drift. Maybe it’s the fact that those four original characters are back, but I’m only half ashamed to say that I’m kinda interested in seeing this so long as someone else once again pays for my ticket.
