Is Raimi really confirmed on this? I hope not I’d rather see him do something fantasy, sci-fi, or horror to take advantage of his new big budget status. The Jack Ryan franchise has only been mildly entertaining.

Sum of all Fears was a really good film and Ben Affleck was a good Jack Ryan. James Franco would be a weak choice.

Would anyone have said that Ben Afleck was going to successfully carry the Jack Ryan series before Sum of all Fears was released?
Franko might work, and he might not. I personally liked him in the Spiderman movies, and I especially liked his performance in Pineapple Express.

I was hoping to see Franco in some more comedies after Pineapple Express, but the combo of Raimi and Franco makes me interested in this.
