Film Junk Podcast Episode #180 Will Be Late This Week

Hey guys, just a quick update to let you know that due to the strenuous demands of our rock star lives, this week’s episode of the Film Junk Podcast will be recorded later than usual (tomorrow night, with any luck). As announced previously, we will be talking about Pineapple Express and the Spanish horror film REC, and also responding to your Junk Mail. If you have any specific news headlines or other topics you would like us to discuss, feel free to e-mail us or go ahead and post them in the comments below. Please accept our sincere apologies for the delay.

I forgive you, but whats with the picture?
Posted by Drew on August 11th, 2008I thought it was funny.
Posted by Sean on August 11th, 2008I wish RowThree would leave updates like this instead of making me check the site futilely every couple hours
Posted by Goon on August 11th, 2008i do too, i was joking.
Posted by Drew on August 12th, 2008I have another topic for discussion: The anti-blockbuster. You know, Primer, Clerks, Following, Blair Witch, Slacker… these types of films made for under 100,000. How about talking about your favorite ones and why. Is it worth it? Or is it better to wait and get a bigger budget, even if it means years and years of NOT filming (eg Pt Anderson’s Sydney (or Hard Eight); or Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs)?
Posted by ivan on August 12th, 2008No need to be all apologetic but it’s still nice to have the heads up.
I,for myself, am glad to get a film podcast that delivers on the goods, whether informative, insightful and entertaining, week in, week out.
I still have most of the Movie Club podcasts to start getting up on.
Posted by Julien on August 12th, 2008Sean, Apology not accepted.
And Goon, totally. Those guys are completely inept over there.
Posted by Andrew James on August 12th, 2008That’s a good one, Ivan. I really, really liked Primer.
