Saw V Teaser Trailer
Lucky us… Lionsgate put together a new Saw V teaser trailer for Comic Con. I really could care less about this movie, but I suppose I am somewhat curious to see how long this franchise will continue to sell tickets. Is Jigsaw even in this one? Maybe he just lost his handy voice changer. Once again they’re making it clear that they’ve staked out the Halloween release date and that no one should mess with that. Thus far, they’ve got absolutely no competition from any other horror flicks. You can check out the somewhat cheesy teaser (also known as a “cheeser”) embedded below. Saw V hits theatres on October 24th.

I know that they still make a lot of money– but quality-wise I think that the Saw series should be direct to DVD releases.
Posted by Jon Rocks on July 25th, 2008They should just make a fucking television show…
Posted by cronenfly on July 25th, 2008First one was decent. Sequel’s didn’t do it for me.
Posted by cronenfly on July 25th, 2008Ugh.
Posted by Rian on July 25th, 2008cheeser!! HAHAHAHA!! Awesome
Posted by Mike on July 25th, 2008Yeah– I agree that the first one was cool. It was something new. But after that, they’ve been a bit of a bore. I usually rent them, but they are certainly offering diminishing returns.
Posted by Jon Rocks on July 25th, 2008What a cheeser! The only reason these make money is because they have no competition on Halloween. Why has the horror genre been “shit” ever since the Scream movies?
Posted by Ryan M. on July 25th, 2008First one was good because it presented a different concept for horror. It should have stopped there.
Posted by Baychuk on July 26th, 2008If I were producing these films I sure as shit wouldn’t have stopped with the first one. These things print their own money almost. Cost nothing to make and get loads back. It’s a no brainer.
Posted by Swarez on July 26th, 2008So now the money is all gone and now all you are left with is a very tired franchise. No, I’d rather have people begging for more before I put out a sequel…let alone a sequel to a sequel.
Posted by Baychuk on July 26th, 2008The money is gone? Tired franchise? Where did you get that idea?
Saw 4 made nearly 140 million dollars world wide and over 30 more in DVD sales and rentals. That’s over 170 million dollars for a 10 million dollar movie.
You’d be the worst movie producer in the world Baychuck. It’s about the money, not the ideology.
Posted by Swarez on July 26th, 2008Metaphorically the money is gone, I’m tired of the series and I’m not about money, but about integrity. Which hollywood is lacking. This is why 90% of the movies that come out are crap and fans like you continue to treat it as gold.
Posted by Baychuk on July 27th, 2008Yeah yeah, let’s see how much integrity you have when you are running a multi million dollar company and finding ways to keep it floating. The only integrity that’s left in Hollywood is the integrity to make more money.
And please don’t assume that just because I understand how the world turns that I’m a fan of this shit series.
Posted by Swarez on July 27th, 2008Oh, just because the world and hollywood revolve around making money, doesn’t make it right. As for a film that loses money…serves them right! Put on a better product and film goers won’t be fooled.
You’re not a fan of “this shit series”? Sure!
Posted by Baychuk on July 27th, 2008Not make it right? It’s a business. It’s the most fundamental thing in business. Of course it’s right. You’d be a fool otherwise.
You do know that the profits from all these sequels fund most of the more “artistic” films out there.
Cheap horror movies are what keep most of the studios running so poo pooing them is basically biting the hand that feeds you.
Posted by Swarez on July 27th, 2008Stop moaning about it, if you dont like it, go and watch something else jeez!!!! so pathetic. I personally cant wait yay
