Hounddog Trailer Starring Dakota Fanning

After waiting a couple years for the controversy and outrage to blow over, it looks like Deborah Kampmeier’s film Hounddog is finally going to get a U.S. theatrical release in September. Some may remember that this movie came under heavy fire for a rape scene involving young star Dakota Fanning, who was then only 12 years old. It’s unclear just how graphic the scene is and whether or not the reaction is justified, but it seems like people have since gotten tired of complaining about it and have pretty much given up the fight.
Not that it matters much anyway… it the trailer is any indication, this movie’s not all that great in the first place. Fanning’s screeching performance as a girl who is obsessed with Elvis seems borderline unwatchable if you ask me. (And I didn’t even have a problem with her in War of the Worlds.) Hounddog hits select theatres on September 5th; check out the trailer below and see what you think.

Yep, looks fucking terrible, exactly like one of the features you can see at my local film festival.

Enjoy
Yeah that trailer is god awful.
Posted by Swarez on July 25th, 2008Has Fanning done anything after this film? Seems like ages I saw her in something. I thought maybe she pulled a Haley Joel Osment and grew up ugly as sin.
I am Brasilian, so I do not know how or the Dakota or his family, but I think her mom has not taken a wise decision on his own daughter to write for that kind of emotional structure of the cena. A should not even de fully shaken wanting to understand the other!!!
