24: Exile Movie Trailer
Alright, now don’t go and get too excited. This isn’t the 24 feature film that they’ve been talking about for a while now. 24: Exile is a two-hour made for TV movie that will serve as the prequel to the upcoming seventh season of 24. This is something that more and more TV shows have been doing (ie. Battlestar Galactica: Razor) and it’s a good way to make the season premiere more of an event I suppose.
The story takes place in South Africa, where Jack Bauer is looking for some R&R and instead finds himself in the middle of a military coup. I don’t know how this plays into the whole 24 hour format of the show. I don’t think it will play as the first two hours of the season’s timeline, but I could be wrong. At any rate, I’ve always wanted to get into 24 but I’m way too far behind to ever catch up now. Any 24 fans out there? Let us know what you think. 24: Exile will premiere on November 23rd.

You’re never too late. My wife got into it last season and really wanted to watch from the beginning so that’s what we did. Sure we’re spending all our evenings down in front of the TV but it’s worth it.
Posted by OH on July 18th, 2008After last season, I sort of swore off 24. Just seemed like they have to keep one-upping themselves and each season has gone into more ludicrous territory.
I may watch the TV movie to see if they are trying harder to take the show in a different direction and, if so, I’ll check out the new season. If it’s more of the same, I’m out.
Posted by Brett on July 18th, 2008I love 24 and have rewatched every season at least 4-5 times. Amazing show, but like anything it has peaks and valleys. I’m relaly excited after having no 24 this past season.
Posted by Wes on July 18th, 2008What’s with the lame voice-over guy??
Posted by Chris on July 18th, 2008Voice over guy was very lame. To appreciate 24 you need to suspend belief right away. Once you think to yourself “how much shit can happen to one guy in a day, or how many times can the same girl get kidnapped’ you’re done and you’ll hate it.
It’s a great action packed suspensful show if you let yourself into it.
Posted by Greg on July 18th, 2008Has Jack Bauer gone to the bathroom yet? You’d think it would be an obvious way to inject comic relief, but from what I’ve heard it’s supposed that he uses commercial breaks for restroom stops. Which is a shame.
I watched the first season of 24, and it was lame.
Posted by Henrik on July 18th, 2008Well I’m not sold yet.
Last year they jumped the shark by my book.
This will have to be awesome for me to tune in.
